Your event includes dinner, beverage, tax, gratuity, book discussion, Q&A, book signing, and the opportunity to meet the author up close and personal in an intimate, food-lover’s setting.
*And to make this evening even more appetizing, Kathleen will be offering a one-hour Food Is Love Workshop immediately prior to dinner to teach some of the fundamental skills used by professional food writers to make their stories tantalizing. The workshop is FREE to anyone who purchases a copy of the new book (plus you will receive a $5 discount for dinner)!
About the Book and Author
Kathleen Flinn is a New York Times bestselling food writer with over 25 years’ of writing experience. Her first memoir (with recipes), The Sharper Your Knife, The Less You Cry, is the touching and humorous account of how she left the corporate world to study at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.
Her award-winning The Kitchen Counter Cooking School followed, which explored her project to follow people who relied on convenience food for meals.
Now she is back with her newest memoir, Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good, a flavorful tale spanning three generations, including her family’s Route 66 trek to San Francisco to their Michigan farm to the shores of Florida. One thing remains constant is their sense of spirit: humor, adventure, and of course, food!
Please note that no physical tickets will be issued.
Books will be available at the event for purchase and signing, or pre-order a signed copy to be delivered at the event:
