Virginia Woolf made the connection between language and wine, so we wanted to take a page from her and create an entire Adventures by the Book series devoted to the pairing of wine and books. Voila! Join us for our next event in the Reading Between the Vines series, which will take place once again at the estate producer Hook & Ladder Winery, 2134 Olivet Rd, Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County, California, as part of their exciting new Book & Ladder Club!
With the assistance of Melier, we invite you to indulge in a bubbles tasting and book pairing experience, presented under California’s brilliant trademark sunshine. While you sample a delectable glass of Hook & Ladder Winery bubbles and light pastries, meet award-winning author Loretta Ellsworth and learn about her novel, The French Winemaker’s Daughter.
Your Adventure includes a glass of Hook & Ladder bubbles specifically selected to pair with Loretta’s novel, fresh pastries, author presentation, Q&A, book signing, and the opportunity to meet the author in a relaxed and intimate setting at the beautiful Hook & Ladder Winery property. Copies of The French Winemaker’s Daughter will be available for sale at the event for signing.
About the Author
Loretta Ellsworth is the author of five novels for younger readers, as well as adult historical novels. Her books have received many awards including Teen’s Top Ten, Midwest Bookseller’s Choice Award, Kirkus Critic’s Pick, IRA Notable, BBCB Choice, Northeastern Minnesota Book Award, and the Charlotte Award.
