In honor of celebrating the powerful women who raised us, we are pleased to announce another fun Book Bingo (Our Moms): a Virtual Adventure.

If you are already familiar with our popular Southern California series that features NovelNetwork® authors, you will understand why we receive so many requests to expand the program nationwide. Pivoting to virtual events has made this not only possible, but offers up fun opportunities for exciting partnerships, participation by more of our over 130 book club favorite authors, and space to accommodate many more readers!

Dive into the stories of stories by and about mothers by playing book bingo with six New York Times bestselling and book club favorite authors: Judith Lindbergh, Anesa Miller, Karen E. Osborne, Jennifer Rosner, Aimie K. Runyan, and Zoro the Drummer. Enjoy presentations by the authors, while playing an interactive virtual game of bingo, including fun prizes. All you have to do is show up (and why not invite your book club friends and fellow readers to join in as well) to learn about these great reads!

While this event is free, your purchase of a book(s) below (to be shipped to you within the U.S.) provides much-needed support to these authors.

Your Adventure includes a book discussion with all six authors, an interactive virtual game of Book Bingo, Q&A, prizes, and the opportunity to meet the authors via Zoom. Books may be ordered below for shipping within the U.S. and will include a signed bookplate. See below for registration information.

About the Authors

Judith Lindbergh is an author, poet, and photographer and Founder of The Writers Circle, which aims to teach aspiring and accomplished writers of all ages. Her debut novel, The Thrall’s Tale, about three women in the first Viking Age settlement in Greenland, was an IndieBound Pick, a Borders Original Voices Selection, and praised by Pulitzer Prize winners Geraldine Brooks and Robert Olen Butler.

Her latest novel, Akmaral, set to release on May 7th, 2024, is about a nomad woman warrior on the Central Asian steppes in the 5th century BCE, that was inspired by legends of Amazon women warriors told by ancient Greek historian Herodotus.

Anesa Miller is a bestselling fiction author who was awarded an Individual Artist Fellowship in Creative Writing from the Ohio Arts Council in 1998. Her poems and prose have been published in The Kenyon Review, The Cream City Review, The California Quarterly, Spoon River Poetry Review, and many others. One of her novels, Our Orbit, was a finalist in regional fiction in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards.

Her newest novel, I Never Do This, is a compassionate, thoughtful narrative about hard-won self-realizations. Anesa exposes readers to the unforgettable voice of a young woman, LaDene Faye Howell, who finds herself in police custody recounting her story after her paroled cousin Bobbie Frank appears and engages her in a crime spree.

Karen E. Osborne always knew she possessed a talent and immense passion for writing. Her novels followed a forty-year career, first as an academic administrator and then co-owner of The Osborne Group, serving as a consultant, trainer, and motivational speaker. Karen released her first novel, Getting it Right, in 2017 to notable acclaim and received attention for her compelling writing style that aims to explore questions of race, privilege, and family loyalties.

Jennifer Rosner is a bestselling author whose work has been recognized, awarded, and translated dozens of times. Additionally, her short writing has appeared in the New York TimesThe Times of Israel, The Massachusetts ReviewThe Forward, and elsewhere. Jennifer also teaches philosophy and received her BA from Columbia University and her Ph.D. from Stanford University.

Her debut novel The Yellow Bird Sings centers around the unbreakable bond between a mother and a daughter amidst the horrors of World War II. Aimie K. Runyan is an author who writes fiction, both historical and contemporary, that celebrates the spirit of strong women. In addition to her writing, she is active as a speaker and educator in the writing community. Aimie has also been honored as a Historical Novel Society Editors’ Choice selection, as a 3-time finalist for the Colorado Book Awards, and as a nominee for the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writer of the Year.

Her latest novel, The Memory of Lavender and Sage, is set in the lush hillsides of Provence and explores the life of a woman unmoored after the death of her father. The female protagonist decides to seek out the truth regarding her mother’s past, only to unveil shocking truths about her family along the way.
