Adventures by the Book® is excited to celebrate The Italian Party with New York Times bestselling author Christina Lynch.  Indulge your senses over a delicioso Italian luncheon, while Christina shares with readers the inspiration behind her equally delicioso novel.  And don’t forget to check out her Pinterest page that includes fabulous images of her Italian inspirations.

As Christina discusses the inspiration behind The Italian Party, which takes us back to 1956 Siena for an intriguing story of romance, secrets, and intrigue, we will delight in warm baked bread, fresh salad, and mouthwatering entries, served family style at Buca di Beppo, just like in the 1950’s.

Your Adventure includes lunch, beverage, tax, gratuity, author talk, book signing, and the chance to meet the author up-close and personal in an authentic and intimate setting.

About the Author

Christina Lynch is a novelist, television writer, journalist, book coach, and writing instructor. She grew up mostly in Chicago, graduated from Harvard College, and has an MFA from Antioch University Los Angeles. She is a former Milan correspondent for W  and Women’s Wear Daily, and lived in Italy for 7 years, where she ate a lot of wonderful meals and  won the Tuscan Endurance Championship on her horse Camelia.

A devoted educator, she moved to LA where she has she has written on staff for television shows such as The Dead ZoneEncore! Encore!, Unhappily Ever After and Wildfire. She also teaches television writing for UCLA Extension, and does online book coaching both privately and for Antioch University LA. She is a full-time tenure track Professor of English at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California, where she is also the faculty advisor for the literary magazine. Christina is a passionate advocate for higher pay and better working conditions for all adjunct instructors.

She is one half of the duo that writes as Magnus Flyte.  The first Magnus novel, City of Dark Magic, was a New York Times bestseller. Christina’s new novel, The Italian Party, takes us back to 1956 Italy, where a young American couple are seduced by the beauty of Siena, yet the secrets they are keeping from each other force them to confront a world more complicated than they’d ever imagined.
