Join our ABTB Book Club Series!

Adventures by the Book is delighted to welcome seven ABTB Ambassadors, who moderate our ABTB Book Club Series. The monthly series will alternate between virtual Zoom events, in person San Diego, California events, and hybrid in person/virtual Harrison, New York, events. Each month, our Ambassadors will select an Adventures by the Book author and book to discuss, and we will send out invites for you to join us as you are able, whether in person or virtually.

We invite you to join us at our next virtual event, featuring debut novelist Jaclyn Westlake in a moderated book club discussion with three of our esteemed Ambassadors, Simon Chibuk (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), Jennifer Erickson (Chicago, Illinois), Dorothy Minor (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma), and YOU!

Whether you are already part of an existing book club, or have been wanting to join one, our ABTB Book Club is open to all. Read the book, which we encourage, or not, if you don’t have time, but come join us anyway and be part of the shared reading experience.

About the Author and Book

Jaclyn Westlake is an alumna of the Stanford Continuing Studies novel writing program. A recruiter turned career advice columnist, her work has appeared in Forbes, Business Insider, and Inc. She lives in California with her husband and their dachshund mix, Indiana Jones (but you can call him Indy).

Her novel, Lucky Break, follows main character Eliza. When a spate of bad luck upends her meticulously planned life, she moves to a charming—and mysterious—Midwestern lake town, where she just might find herself while trying to find the truth. While this event is FREE and open to the public, registration is required in order to receive a Zoom link (to be emailed to you three days prior to the event). Books may be pre-ordered below to ship directly to you so that you may read the book prior to the book club discussion.
