About the In-Person Event

“Language is wine upon the lips” – Virginia Woolf

Virginia Woolf made the connection between language and wine, so we decided to take a page from her and create an entire Adventures by the Book series devoted to the pairing of wine and books. Voila! Introducing our new Reading Between the Vines series to take place at the estate producer Hook & Ladder Winery in Sonoma County, California!

With the assistance of Melier, we have created for you an entire afternoon filled with sumptuous wines, delicious books, and charcuterie platters galore, all presented under California’s brilliant trademark sunshine. Eight New York Times and bestselling authors – Karen White, Noelle Salazar, Rebecca Rosenberg, Renee Rosen, Robert Kerbeck, Martha Conway, Eleanor Brown, and Kristin Beck – will be on hand to share with you their latest books, all paired with wines and charcuterie spreads hand selected by the folks at Hook & Ladder.

And if you really want to up your experience, and we think Virginia Woolf would have indulged, join us for the pre-event VIP experience, an intimate behind the scenes with the winemaker and the authors in the barrel room, which includes a book of your choice with a paired bottle of wine.

1:30-2:45pm – Your VIP experience will include your choice of one of the eight bottles of wine and paired book to be delivered to you for signing, along with a special reception in the barrel room with the winemaker and the authors. Limited spaces available to allow for a more intimate experience. Early bird pricing available until the end of March!

3:00-5:30pm – Your Adventure includes a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon meeting the authors, tasting delectable wines and charcuterie spreads specially paired for each book, book signings, photo ops, and an intimate and unforgettable afternoon at the gorgeous Hook & Ladder Winery in Santa Rosa (Sonoma County).

For regular event admission, choose the Event Registration option which includes wine tasting, charcuterie tastings, and one paperback book of your choice. Enhance your experience by choosing the VIP Add-On, which includes a winemaker reception in the barrel room and one bottle of wine paired with a book of your choice. But hurry! About the Authors and Books

Karen White is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of 34 books, with almost two million books in print in fifteen different languages, including the Tradd Street series, The Last Night in London, Dreams of Falling, The Night the Lights Went OutFlight Patterns, The Sound of Glass, and A Long Time Gone.
