About the Authors and Books

Adele Griffin is a New Yorker who enjoys living in Los Angeles even if it never snows here. She is the author of many books for new and young people. The Favor (June 2023) is her first book for older people. She loves pull-quotes, bakery cakes, and writing about herself in third person.

From this National Book Award finalist comes an insightful and warmhearted story of two very different women who make an unexpected connection when one decides to carry a baby for the other.  A contemporary story that celebrates alternative routes to family, The Favor is an incisive examination of what it means to long for a child and what relationships cost us―and what they’re worth.

Annabel Monaghan is the author of IndieNext and LibraryReads pick Nora Goes Off Script as well as two young adult novels and Does This Volvo Make My Butt Look Big?, a selection of laugh-out-loud columns that appeared in the Huffington Post, the Week, and the Rye Record. She lives in Rye, New York, with her family.

Annabel’s new release, Same Time Next Summer, is the ultimate summer nostalgia read, about an engaged woman who comes face to face with her first love who she hasn’t seen in fourteen years, but who she spent every summer with from age five to seventeen when he broke her heart, calling into question everything she thought she knew about their love story, and herself.

“An unforgettable love story…Bursting with the magic of first love, it’s everything I want in a summer romance.”

About San Pasqual Winery

San Pasqual Winery is a small, family owned winery located in La Mesa, California – about 15 miles east of San Diego. Although the namesake dates to the 1970’s when it was located in the San Pasqual Valley, the winery was later “reinvented” as San Diego’s first urban winery, earning it a spot on Sunset Magazine’s list of “Hot 100 West Coast Trends.”

The winery is now located in the industrial area of La Mesa, with offsite tasting rooms nearby in the Village of La Mesa and downtown San Diego at Seaport Village. With annual production ranging from three to four thousand cases, most of their wine is sold directly from the winery and tasting room locations, allowing a more personal connection with the people who enjoy their wines.
