Optimal Health Dinner Adventure

September 24 @ 6:30 pm PDT

$20.75 – $45.00

About the Event

Have you been wanting to incorporate more healthy options into your daily meal plan? Are you, or someone you love, suffering from insomnia, migraines, chronic pain, gluten insensitivity, lethargy, arthritis, or other inflammatory health challenges? Or perhaps you’re wondering how to prevent chronic illnesses like these as well as dementia or Alzheimer’s.

If so, you won’t want to miss our upcoming Optimal Health Dinner Adventure featuring local writer, recipe developer, food photographer, and health and wellness coach Stephanie Weaver. Together with beloved San Diego chef Isabel Cruz, who is known for her innovative and healthy twist on traditional Latin fare, we want to show you just how great anti-inflammatory recipes can taste!

Enjoy a delicious dinner specially prepared by Chef Isabel, while Stephanie shares tips and tricks to help you lead the healthiest life possible. Your Adventure includes dinner, wine (which has anti-inflammatory properties!), tax, gratuity, and the opportunity to meet and interact with Stephanie and Isabel, up close and personal in an intimate setting.

About the Author and Book

Stephanie Weaver is a writer, wellness and health coach, and recipe developer based in San Diego. She is an expert on changing what we eat for health reasons. Her third book, The Migraine Relief Plan, offers more than 75 anti-inflammatory, whole-foods recipes. Find more than 375 creative and anti-inflammatory recipes, suitable for a wide variety of special diets, on her website.

Using the latest research, her own migraine diagnosis, and extensive testing, Stephanie Weaver has designed an accessible plan to help those living with migraine, headaches, or Meniere’s Disease. The Migraine Relief Plan, gives readers an 8-week course which gradually transitions you into a healthier lifestyle, including key behaviors such as regular sleep, trigger-free eating, gentle exercise, and relaxation techniques.

The book also collects resources— shopping lists, meal plans, symptom tracking charts, and kitchen-tested recipes for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner— to provide readers with the tools you need to be successful.

About the Chef

I’m Isabel Cruz, a  chef, restaurant owner, cookbook author of Isabel’s Cantina (2007) and The Latin Table (2018). I love food, and my whole family loves food. Big gatherings with food as the centerpiece have always been a part of my life.
Two life-changing things have happened to me within the past several years which have changed my relationship to food. First, my favorite aunt came down with Alzheimer’s, if you have not experienced Alzheimer’s with a loved one yet, I am not exaggerating a bit when I tell you that it is horrific.
Next, my beautiful 13 year old niece was diagnosed with hypoglycemia, a very hard thing to deal with for a 13 year old who loves food. This has led me to my quest of cooking for my family to help prevent Alzheimer’s and also to help my niece Ava with her hypoglycemia. I have come up with some good simple recipes for us foodies out there.
