About the Event

Books and Wine! They are a perfect pairing, but with so many varietals of wine and books, the process of choosing one or the other can be overwhelming. Well that is all about to change, as we introduce the next in our new series, Pairings & Prose, and we couldn’t be more excited than to feature New York Times and international bestselling author Kate Quinn as she returns with yet another gripping work of historical fiction, in conversation with New York Times bestselling author Fiona Davis.

With assistance from the talented team at San Diego’s Splash Wine Lounge, we have selected the perfect wine to pair with The Rose Code, so sit back, pour yourself a glass of Days of Youth: The Diver Sparkling Rosé 2019 (order below to be shipped to you in time for the event), and enjoy a wine presentation, followed by an engaging discussion between Kate Quinn and Fiona Davis about Kate’s stunning new novel. You just may feel like you have traveled back in time when you were as young and daring as the codebreakers of Bletchley Park!

Your Adventure includes signed book, paired wine presentation (sold separately below) tax, shipping, author discussion, and the chance to meet the authors, in a unique virtual event. Place your book and wine orders by March 1, 2021, in order to receive in time to enjoy during the event (COVID delays notwithstanding).

About the Author and Book

Kate Quinn is the New York Times and international bestselling author of the historical novels The Alice Network and The Huntress. A native of southern California, she attended Boston University where she earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Voice. She has written four novels in the Empress of Rome Saga, and two books in the Italian Renaissance, before turning to the 20th century. All have been translated into multiple languages. Kate and her husband live in San Diego with three rescue dogs.

In her new book, The Rose Code (William Morrow, March 9, 2021), Kate returns with another heart-stopping World War II story of three female code breakers at Bletchley Park and the spy they must root out after the war is over. A beautiful blue-blooded debutante, a tart-tongued London shop-girl, and a shy crossword-solving spinster join the war against Nazi Germany as codebreakers of Bletchley Park, only to find that the real puzzle lies inside the Park itself as a traitor sets them against each other in a betrayal reaching past the end of the war.
