Perfect Timing Adventure

February 11, 2018 @ 6:00 pm PST

About the Event

Adventures by the Book®  is pleased to partner with the Library Shop for a fascinating evening with  Daniel Pink, the New York Times and internationally bestselling author of Drive, To Sell is Human, and A Whole New Mind.  Pink’s TED talk on the science of motivation is one of the 10 most-watched TED Talks of all time, with more than 19 million views.

In his new book, When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing, Pink shares the results of his cutting edge research which conclude that timing is not necessarily an art, but rather a science that can be utilized to help you flourish at home, at work, and at school.

Drawing on a rich trove of research from psychology, biology, and economics, Pink reveals how best to live, work, and succeed. How can we use the hidden patterns of the day to build the ideal schedule? Why do certain breaks dramatically improve student test scores? Why should we avoid going to the hospital in the afternoon? Why is singing in time with other people as good for you as exercise? And what is the ideal time to quit a job, switch careers, or get married?

This Adventure includes a signed copy of When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing, author presentation, book discussion, Q&A, book signing, and the opportunity to meet one of the “ten best business thinkers in the world.”

*A portion of event proceeds will support the San Diego Public Library
