Located near Nashville, TN, I'm a former business owner, empty nest mom, and beekeeper/chicken herder. A lifelong learner, one of my favorite delights of reading is learning something new. That's the main reason I love reading and writing historical fiction. My debut novel, Light to the Hills, features strong women in a challenging setting: Eastern Kentucky in the 1930's, when a packhorse librarian has to confront her past and the man who may threaten her future. Coming in spring 2026, The Water Women traces three generations of women in Sardinia, Italy. They're in the ancient lineage of golden sea silk weavers and must wrestle with expectations and burdens between mothers and daughters.
