Born in Akron, Ohio, and a Northwestern University graduate  in both psychology and philosophy, Diana became a Stanford University professor of Buddhism after earning her Ph.D.  Her short stories are published in a number of literary journals and she has written for the San Jose Business Journal and Christian Science Monitor on international competition in high-tech.  She lives in Carmel, CA with her husband and calico cat, Mao.
