Biographical Info Hi there! I'm Jaclyn Westlake. I write stories about funny, flawed women doing their best to find their way in the world. More importantly, I love talking about books! My debut novel, DEAR DOTTY is a contemporary coming-of-age story about a lost twenty-something who follows the advice of her late, free-spirited great aunt through a series of revelatory emails. My second novel, LUCKY BREAK, in which a 32-year-old woman leaves San Francisco for a small lake town on the heels of a broken engagement, will be out in the summer of 2025. I'm an alumna of the Stanford Continuing Studies Novel Writing program and a recruiter turned career advice columnist. My work has appeared in Forbes, Business Insider, and Inc. I live in California with my husband and our senior dachshund, Indiana Jones (but you can call him Indy).
