from author’s website – in her own words
I’m Preslaysa Williams, an author and actress. I played the role of Cindi on Nickelodeon’s The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo (nee, Preslaysa Edwards). I have also been on This Is Us and Homeland. You can read more about it here.
I write own voices, contemporary romance and women’s fiction with an Afro-Filipina twist. My stories center and celebrate this rich heritage.
I started writing these books because I didn’t see them in the stores. After reading of the great historical contributions of my African and Filipino ancestors, I wanted to center their voices and their narratives.
My stories celebrate modern-day Black and Filipino people who are in search of love and their happily ever after. I write about people who’ve suffered seasons of loss and found restoration, new strength, and a healing of their broken hearts.
