About the Author and Book

Aimie K. Runyan is an author who writes to celebrate history’s unsung heroines, who has been honored as a Historical Novel Society Editor’s Choice selection, a 3-time finalist for the Colorado Book Awards, and as a nominee for the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writer of the Year. Aimie is active as an educator and speaker in the writing community and beyond. Before transitioning to full-time writing, she taught French to high schoolers, with occasional stints in English, Public Speaking, and Competitive Forensics.

Aimie’s newest novel, The Memory of Lavender and Sage, is set in beautiful, luscious Provence: a dreamy escape into Southern France. The story explores the life of food critic Tempèsta Luddington, who has always felt like the odd person out in her family, ever since she lost her beloved mother at the tender age of thirteen.

Unmoored after the sudden death of her father, Tempèsta decides to seek out the truth regarding her mother’s past by using the remainder of her money to buy a dilapidated manor house in Sainte-Colombe, a small village in Provence, where her mother had grown up.
