Introducing our New ABTB Book Club Series!
Adventures by the Book is delighted to welcome 7 new ABTB Ambassadors, who are helping us launch our new ABTB Book Club Series. The monthly series will alternate between virtual Zoom events, in person San Diego, California events, and in person Harrison, New York, events. Each month, our Ambassadors will select a new NovelNetwork author and book to discuss, and we will send out invites for you to join us as you are able, whether in person or virtually.
We invite you to join us at our inaugural virtual event, featuring New York Times bestselling author Kate Quinn and Canadian bestselling author Janie Chang, in a moderated book club discussion with 3 of our esteemed Ambassadors, Simon Chibuk (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), Jennifer Erickson (Chicago, Illinois), and Dorothy Minor (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma), and YOU!
Whether you are already part of an existing book club, or have been wanting to join one, our ABTB Book Club is open to all. Read the book, which we encourage, or not, if you don’t have time, but come join us anyway and be part of the shared reading experience.
*Pre-order your copy of The Phoenix Crown (below) and we will ship it to you, so that you can read it prior to the event.
Kate Quinn is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of historical novels, The Alice Network, The Rose Code, The Huntress, and The Diamond Eye, all of which have been translated into multiple languages.
She has also written four novels in the Empress of Rome Saga, and two books in the Italian Renaissance, before turning to the 20th century. A native of southern California, she attended Boston University where she earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Voice.
Janie Chang is the Canadian bestselling historical novelist of Three Souls, Dragon Springs Road, Libraries of Legend, and The Porcelain Moon. Her books often have a personal connection, drawing from a family history with 36 generations of recorded genealogy. She grew up listening to stories about life in a small Chinese town in the years before the Second World War and tales of ancestors who encountered dragons, ghosts, and immortals.
She has lived in the Philippines, Iran, Thailand, and New Zealand. She now lives with her husband on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada.
Their joint novel, The Phoenix Crown, is a thrilling and unforgettable narrative about the intertwined lives of two wronged women, spanning from the chaos of the San Francisco earthquake to the glittering palaces of Versailles..
