We invite you to explore themes of guilt, love, betrayal, and ultimate family loyalty with New York Times bestselling author Ann Napolitano at the Carlsbad City Library as she discusses her debut novel (in a special re-release edition), Within Arm’s Reach, which centers around the emotional story of three generations of an Irish-Catholic family as they are forced to confront ghosts of both their past and present.

Registration for this event is not required, as it is free and open to the public. However, copies of Within Arm’s Reach are available for pre-sale below to be delivered to the event for signing. Books will also be available for purchase and signing at the event.

NOTE: This event will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly! Limited seating is available so make sure to arrive early to receive one of the FREE event tickets that the Library will be distributing prior to the event.

About the Author and Book

Ann Napolitano is the New York Times bestselling author of Hello Beautiful, which was selected as Oprah’s 100th Book Club pick; Dear Edward, an instant New York Times bestseller, a Read with Jenna selection, and an Apple TV+ series; A Good Hard Look, and Within Arm’s Reach.

For seven years, Ann was the associate editor of the literary magazine One Story, and she received an MFA from New York University. She has taught fiction writing at Brooklyn College’s MFA program, New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and Gotham Writers Workshop.
